Terms of Service

By using Mogwars (the website, app, or any related service — together, the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use the Service.

1. What This Is

Mogwars is a live 1v1 face-rating duel. Two players join a round, both cameras go live, on-device scoring decides the winner, and ELO updates publicly. Some features may require an account or an invite code.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Pick a display name that is offensive, hateful, harassing, infringing, deceptive, or that impersonates another person.
• Use prerecorded, fake, manipulated, AI-generated, or automated camera feeds, or otherwise rig results.
• Record, scrape, redistribute, or exploit other users' live video or profile content without permission.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Service or our infrastructure.
• Use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law.

We use an automated profanity filter to reject inappropriate display names, and we may remove names, profiles, duels, scores, or accounts at our discretion.

4. Camera and Conduct

The Service requires camera access. Mogwars uses a realtime video transport so matched players can see one another during a duel; face scoring runs on your device.

You are responsible for what you show on camera and how you treat other players. Do not use the Service to harass, threaten, dox, impersonate, or exploit other people.

5. Public Profile and Leaderboard

When you play, your display name, ELO, rank, and duel outcomes may appear publicly on the leaderboard, in your profile, and across the Service. By submitting that information, you grant Mogwars a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it as part of the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Mogwars name, brand, design, software, rankings, and content we provide are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or build derivative products from the Service without our written permission.

7. No Warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” with no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.

Scores are for entertainment. They are produced by a face-mesh algorithm with known limitations and biases. They are not a measurement of attractiveness, worth, intelligence, identity, or anything else of consequence — and they should not be treated as one.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mogwars and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months and US$50.

9. Termination

We may suspend or remove access, scores, names, or accounts at any time for any reason, including violations of these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
