Privacy Policy

Mogwars is built to take as little as possible. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, we don't profile you, and we collect only what's needed to run live duels, keep ELO honest, and stop abuse. This page is the whole policy. If something isn't mentioned here, we're not doing it.

Camera and Live Video

A duel uses your device's camera. The face mesh and the score are computed entirely on your device, in real time. We do not upload, store, or analyze your face on our servers. We do not generate a faceprint or template, and we do not keep the mesh after a round ends.

While you're in a live duel, your video is sent directly to your opponent through the realtime call connection required to play the round. The call is not recorded by us. When the duel ends, the connection ends.

What We Store on Our Servers

The full list of personal data we hold:

• A username and display name you choose, plus an optional avatar image URL.
• An email address if you sign in with one (we use a one-time code and never see a password) or join the waitlist.
• An optional Telegram link or Discord handle if you connect one.
• Duel data: scores, win/loss, ELO before and after, match mode, friend-code/room metadata, and timestamps.
• Your in-game currency balance and a log of how it changed.
• Player reports you submit or receive — category, free-text description, and optionally a screenshot you choose to attach. Reports are visible only to the moderation team.
• The IP address your requests come from. We use it for rate limiting, ban enforcement, and basic abuse review. We do not build advertising or location profiles from it.

That's the full list. We do not collect phone numbers, contacts, precise location, advertising identifiers, tracking pixels, browsing history outside Mogwars, or any biometric template.

What Stays on Your Device

In your browser or app storage, we keep a session token, a few preferences, and the dismissal state of one-time prompts. You can wipe all of it by clearing your browser storage or reinstalling the app.

Who Else Touches Your Data

A small number of third-party providers help us host, deliver, and operate Mogwars. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy practices. We don't share your data with anyone for advertising, profiling, or model training.

Retention

Account, duel, and leaderboard data is kept for as long as your account exists, so rankings and history stay consistent. Short-lived connection logs and rate-limit counters are kept briefly for debugging and abuse review. Email us and we'll delete account-linked data on request.

Children

Mogwars is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, email us and we'll remove it.

Your Choices

• Deny camera access at any time — duels won't run without it, but nothing else breaks.
• Stop playing or end a duel at any time.
• Clear your local storage or reinstall to wipe device-side data.
• Email us to delete your account or any data tied to it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the website.
